VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE® Black Stick-On Tape – 20mm Wide

This genuine VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty fastening combines moulded ULTRA-MATE® Hook with compatible Loop tape and a strong self-adhesive backing. It provides a compact reusable fastening for projects that need greater holding performance but do not have enough mounting space for 50mm-wide tape.

The 20mm width is suitable for slim equipment edges, narrow frames, signs, access covers, storage systems and workshop organisation. Moulded bidirectional hooks provide 50% more holding power than standard-strength VELCRO® Brand fasteners.

Matching Hook and Loop sets

Every variation contains equal lengths of both mating components. This product is supplied only as a complete Hook and Loop set and is not available as Hook only or Loop only.

• 5m set: 5m Hook plus 5m Loop
• 10m set: 10m Hook plus 10m Loop

Surface preparation and installation

Apply only to clean, dry, smooth and stable surfaces. Remove dust, grease, polish, moisture and loose material before fitting. Weak paint, wallpaper and unstable surface coatings may detach under load even when the adhesive remains bonded.

Cut the required length and round the corners where practical. Remove the protective liner without touching the exposed adhesive, position the tape carefully and press firmly across the complete bonded area.

Allow approximately 24 hours for the adhesive bond to develop before repeatedly opening the fastening or applying substantial load. Holding performance depends on the exact surface, available contact area, installation quality and direction of force.

Do not apply to PVC, flexible vinyl, fabric, dashboards, dirty surfaces or weak coatings. Do not use underwater, for personal restraint, overhead safety support or where fastening failure could cause injury or serious property damage.

Why choose 20mm Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE®? Select this product when stronger fastening is required but the installation does not have enough space for 50mm-wide tape. Choose PS14 for lightweight indoor fastening or PS18 when attaching to compatible PVC or vinyl.

Important: Adhesive performance depends on the exact substrate, preparation, contact area, temperature and load direction. Test a concealed area before completing a large, valuable or safety-critical installation.

Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Before returning anything, please contact our Customer Services Team at sales@on1shelf.com or call 028 3027 8150 for return instructions.

Products should be securely packaged and returned in their original condition and packaging wherever possible. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and are normally processed within 72 hours of receiving the returned goods.

Credit and Debit Cards with VS Pay

Payment Problems

Refunds

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. After we process a refund, your bank or payment provider may require additional time before the funds appear in your account.
