VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE® Black Stick-On Tape

This genuine VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty fastening combines a moulded ULTRA-MATE® Hook with a compatible woven Loop and a strong PS51/PS52 self-adhesive backing. It is designed for mounting and organisation tasks that require more holding performance than standard woven Hook and Loop tape.

The bidirectional moulded Hook construction provides 50% more holding power than standard-strength VELCRO® Brand fasteners. The broad 50mm width creates a large contact area, making the tape suitable for tools, equipment, signs, access panels, storage systems and display components.

Matching Hook and Loop sets

Every variation contains both sides of the fastening in equal lengths. This product is not supplied as Hook only or Loop only.

Surface preparation and installation

Apply only to a clean, dry, smooth and stable surface. Remove dust, grease, polish, moisture and loose material before fitting. Weak paint, wallpaper and unstable surface coatings may detach under load even when the adhesive itself remains bonded.

Cut the required length and round the corners where practical to reduce the risk of edge lifting. Remove the protective liner without touching the exposed adhesive, position the tape carefully and press firmly across the complete bonded area.

Allow approximately 24 hours for the adhesive to develop maximum strength before repeatedly opening the fastening or applying substantial weight. Load capacity depends on the surface, contact area, installation quality and direction of force.

The manufacturer states that a correctly applied 50mm × 100mm section can support up to 7kg under suitable conditions. This is a reference value rather than a guarantee for every surface or installation.

Do not apply to PVC, flexible vinyl, fabric, dashboards, dirty surfaces or weak coatings. Do not use underwater, for personal restraint, overhead safety support or where fastening failure could cause injury or serious property damage.

Why choose Heavy Duty ULTRA-MATE®? Select this product when greater fastening strength and a broad 50mm contact area are required on a compatible surface. Choose PS14 for general lightweight indoor fastening or PS18 when attaching to suitable PVC or vinyl.

Important: Adhesive performance depends on the exact substrate, preparation, temperature, contact area and load direction. Test a concealed area before completing a large, valuable or safety-critical installation.

Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Before returning anything, please contact our Customer Services Team at sales@on1shelf.com or call 028 3027 8150 for return instructions.

Products should be securely packaged and returned in their original condition and packaging wherever possible. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and are normally processed within 72 hours of receiving the returned goods.

Credit and Debit Cards with VS Pay

Payment Security

Payment Problems

Refunds
