VELCRO® Brand PS18 Black Self-Adhesive Hook and Loop Tape
This genuine VELCRO® Brand hook and loop fastening tape uses the specialist PS18 adhesive system, developed for PVC, vinyl and other materials containing plasticisers. It provides a reusable fastening for applications where components need to be opened, removed, adjusted or repositioned without permanent mechanical fixings.
The high-tack water-based acrylic adhesive is also suitable for many clean, smooth surfaces, including Foamex exhibition board, metal, glass, sealed wood, rigid plastic and card. This makes the tape particularly useful for display manufacturing, signage, exhibition stands, access panels, retail fixtures and general workshop fabrication.
Select Hook, Loop or a complete set
Hook only: The firmer fastening component, supplied when replacement Hook tape or attachment to an existing compatible Loop surface is required.
Loop only: The softer mating component, supplied when replacement Loop tape or attachment to an existing compatible Hook surface is required.
Hook and Loop set: Includes equal selected lengths of both components. A 5m set, for example, contains 5m of Hook tape and 5m of Loop tape.
Surface preparation and application
Apply only to a clean, dry and smooth surface. Remove dust, grease, polish, moisture and loose material before fitting. Cut the tape to the required length, peel away the release liner and press the adhesive side firmly and evenly into place.
Avoid touching the exposed adhesive during installation. Allow approximately 24 hours for the adhesive to develop its full bond before repeatedly opening the fastener or applying a significant load.

PS18 is not recommended for polyethylene or polypropylene. Adhesion can also vary with plastic formulation, coatings, surface texture, contamination and operating conditions, so test a small concealed area before completing critical or large-scale installations.

Why choose PS18? PS18 is the recommended VELCRO® Brand adhesive option for suitable PVC, vinyl, Foamex and other plasticised surfaces. Standard PS14 and Heavy Duty adhesive tapes may not provide a reliable bond on these materials.
Important: Adhesive performance depends on the surface material, preparation, temperature, load direction and installation conditions. Clean and dry the surface, press the tape firmly into position and allow up to 24 hours for the adhesive bond to develop before applying a substantial load.
Always test a small concealed area before completing a large, valuable or safety-critical installation. Do not use for personal restraint, overhead safety support or applications where fastening failure could cause injury or damage.

Returns
You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Before returning anything, please contact our Customer Services Team at sales@on1shelf.com or call 028 3027 8150 for return instructions.
Products should be securely packaged and returned in their original condition and packaging wherever possible. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and are normally processed within 72 hours of receiving the returned goods.
