Jubilee® Superclamps

How to Measure for a T-Bolt Clamp

T-bolt clamp sizes refer to the outside diameter being clamped. Do not choose a clamp using only the hose bore or internal diameter.

1. Install the hose over its intended pipe, coupling or connector.
2. Measure the hose outside diameter at the clamping position.
3. Select a clamp whose stated adjustment range contains that measurement.
4. Make sure the clamp is not already at either end of its adjustment range.
5. Follow the product-specific tightening guidance during installation.

An oversized clamp may reach the end of its thread before producing sufficient clamping force. An undersized clamp may damage the hose, distort the band or fail to install correctly.

T-Bolt Clamps Versus Worm-Drive Hose Clips

Standard worm-drive clips offer a wider adjustment range and are suitable for many general hose connections. T-bolt clamps are generally heavier, wider and intended for applications requiring increased clamping strength and resistance to vibration.
